Job Summary

Design for Manufacturing (DFM) by analyzing engineering specifications to ensure smooth transitions from design to high-volume production. Develop structured process flows, identify critical control points, and optimize capacity assessments at supplier sites for equipment throughput and line balancing. Collaborate with design engineers to understand sub-system intent, work with procurement to source parts, and resolve supplier quality issues as the lead liaison. Create and implement production part approval processes (PPAP), define technical requirements, and approve process controls to drive supplier improvement plans based on quality and delivery metrics.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or a STEM discipline
  • 5+ years of manufacturing, process or supply chain engineering experience
  • 5+ years of experience with PCB assembly, mechanical assemblies or electronic assemblies manufacturing
  • Proven track record of taking ownership, successfully negotiating preferred pricing and driving results
  • Knowledge of supplier quality processes (production part approval process, advanced product quality planning, first article inspection reports, etc.)
  • Experience with quality systems (ISO 9000/TS/AS9100/NADCAP)
  • Knowledge of statistical techniques and methods, e.g., design of experiments, Six Sigma, etc.
