Job Summary
Develop and implement inspection plans for receiving, source, ship-to-stock, and skip lot commodities. Collect and analyze supplier performance data from MDR, IHS, and supplier systems to reduce appraisal and prevention costs. Identify root causes for rejected supplied products by examining drawings, specifications, and quality systems. Provide technical direction to the Quality Group and train internal staff and suppliers on statistical methods and quality procedures. Perform initial and follow-up surveys at selected suppliers to report performance metrics. Requires a Bachelor's degree, five years of supplier quality experience, and a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance. Onsite role in Buffalo, NY with up to 25% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5 years of technical experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer or related experience
- 5 years of experience including inspection planning, supplier evaluations and corrective actions
- Must be willing to travel up to 25% to supplier sites as needed
- Ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance
