Job Summary
Own and execute preventative and breakdown maintenance operations for production equipment to ensure performance meets baseline capabilities. Schedule all facility preventative maintenance, manage a team of technicians by setting daily priorities and establishing responsibilities, and participate hands-on with upgrades and troubleshooting. Serve as the site point person for coordination with facilities and subcontractors while ensuring sufficient spare inventory. Drive continuous improvement in safety programs, maintenance processes, and machine performance, including active participation in the Safety Committee to ensure OSHA compliance. Create and maintain documentation for areas of responsibility, develop a cohesive high-performing team, and hold employees accountable for consistent performance.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced mechanical aptitude, technical ability, and problem solving skills
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and manuals
- Proficient with computer skills such as Microsoft Office Suite, SolidWorks, SAP, etc.
- Lean six sigma familiarity
- Basic controls and vision system troubleshooting
- Ability to read and understand government regulations
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements
- Data analysis skills
- Effective time management and prioritization skills
- 5+ years of experience with maintenance, repair, and improvement of automated manufacturing equipment and building facilities
- 3+ years of management experience
- Associate degree in engineering (or related discipline) and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- The position is in-person at Insulet's Irvine, CA office
- Travel is estimated at <5% but will flex depending on business need
- This position requires on-site working (requires on-site office/plant/lab work)
