Job Summary
Supervise field staff, carpenters, and subcontractors to ensure projects are built according to plans and specifications. Monitor work performance, direct subcontractor activities, and schedule all tasks according to project timelines. Manage jobsite logistics by ensuring materials, tools, equipment, and staff requirements are available in a timely fashion. Handle all correspondence and forms, including daily reports, time sheets, and safety or accident reports. Conduct site audits to verify standards and assist teams with complex quality control and pre-punch walk issues. Train and coach superintendents at all levels to meet high administrative and organizational standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 15 years' experience as lead superintendent on commercial interior, retail or building renovation projects
- Display exemplary performance in all project safety related categories
Desired Qualifications
- two years of college
- 15+ years' experience as lead superintendent on commercial interior, retail, or building renovation projects
- Proven track record of independent judgment and decision-making when faced with matters of executive or non-routine nature
- Ability to anticipate and be proactive
- Ability to deal professionally and diplomatically with individuals at all levels
- Able to troubleshoot and solve highly complex project-related issues with all levels of team members
- Ability to manage deadlines, deliver as needed
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments with a strong attention to detail
