Job Summary
Senior Structural Drafter responsible for leading BIM/structural drafting efforts on multiple projects. Core duties include setting up the initial BIM model per graphic standards, maintaining a coordinated BIM environment, producing and revising implementation documents from markups, reviewing tasks for accuracy, coordinating with other disciplines and vendors, preparing bills of materials and transmittals, and supporting field documentation and RFIs. Requires proficiency in Revit, strong knowledge of structural building systems, experience with construction documentation, and the ability to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively within a team. Travel may be required; base salary is $84k-$105k in Chicago with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s or professional trade certification in related field or relevant experience
- Proficiency in Revit
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Knowledge of building construction methods and building systems
- Proficiency in understanding and detailing structural building systems
- Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Ability to problem solve and apply innovative solutions
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to meet deadlines with quality
