Job Summary
The Sr. Storage & Backup Engineer role involves assessing current storage and backup solutions, evaluating customer needs, delivering engineering specifications, and optimizing solutions in collaboration with vendors. Responsibilities include analyzing complex hardware and software issues related to backup technologies, maintaining a multi-PB storage environment, and managing data protection and backup policies. Required skills include knowledge of backup technologies such as NetBackup and Commvault, experience with enterprise storage systems, and the ability to lead complex projects in ambiguous environments.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of Symantec NetBackup, Commvault Simpana and similar backup technologies
- Knowledge of Enterprise storage systems from EMC, NetApp, NDS and similar systems
- Experience with Enterprise data protection and disaster recovery solutions
- 8 years of IT experience
- 5+ years of Backup and Storage Engineering experience

- Ability to plan and control projects
- Strong organizational skills
