Job Summary
Senior member of the SEIT organization responsible for driving definition, development, and verification activities to ensure ARP4754/ARP4761 compliance for an integrated aircraft system. Lead end-to-end integration activities across mass, power, regulatory compliance, and safety requirements; conduct and drive trade studies to optimize safety-critical architectures; own schedules; collaborate across IPTs; support development, integration, testing, and certification activities for flight tests. Must be technically detailed, proactive, and able to operate with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Hybrid work arrangement ( onsite Mountain View office 3 days/week with flexibility for remaining days).
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in engineering with 12 years of experience or M.S in engineering with 8 years of experience in Aircraft Integration, Systems Engineering or related field
- Hands-on experience in development and decomposition of requirements, developing and allocating functions, interfacing with certification and systems safety teams to deliver certification deliverables
- Expertise with ARP4754A, DO-160, ARP4761, Part 23/25, regulations, AC XX.1309, or similar standards
- Familiarity with DO-178C, DO-254
- Experience with requirements management tools such as Polarion, Doors, Teamcenter
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience in development of complex, highly coupled aircraft systems, Avionics systems, Flight Controls, Propulsion Systems
- Experience in system development, design, manufacturing, or flight test
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and safety assessments (PRA, safety cases)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-IPT environment
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task with minimal supervision
