Job Summary
Sr Staff Software Engineer for Core Infra Engineering responsible for building out core infrastructure services and microservices that support machine learning, frontend, and platform teams. Key duties include developing distributed configuration management, rate limiting, feature flags, A/B testing, and traffic capture/replay; improving performance, scalability, and observability of Moveworks cloud infrastructure; delivering deadline-sensitive work; owning features end-to-end and influencing infrastructure roadmap. Requires 12+ years of backend distributed systems experience and proficiency in Python/Golang/Java/C++, plus containers/Docker and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure). BS in CS or related field; strong ownership, adaptability to startup pace, and ongoing learning.
Required Qualifications
- BS in computer science or a related field
- 12+ years of experience designing, building, shipping, and maintaining backend distributed systems
- Proficiency in Python/Golang/Java/C++
- Experience with containers/Docker
- Experience with cloud infrastructure like AWS/GCP/Azure
- Desire to work at a startup pace with a high degree of ownership
- High level of curiosity and willingness to learn
