Job Summary
Senior role leading compute infrastructure initiatives at LinkedIn, responsible for re-architecting the compute stack, building and operating a platform that allocates hardware resources with fault-tolerance and easy maintenance, and delivering world-class scheduling/deployment solutions (including large Kubernetes clusters) for stateless/stateful services and ML workloads. Also accountable for up-leveling and coaching a large team of developers, collaborating with distinguished engineers and technical fellows, and scaling infrastructure to meet growing user demand. Proficiency in distributed systems, Kubernetes, Go, Java, C/C++, Rust, Python, OS fundamentals, container technologies, monitoring/logging (Prometheus, Grafana, Fluentd), and security practices (RBAC, pod security policies, network policies) is required. The role emphasizes leadership, architecture, and hands-on engineering across a high-impact compute infrastructure domain.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of industry experience in software design, development, and algorithm related solutions
- 5+ years of experience programming in object-oriented languages such as Java, Go, C/C++, Rust, Python
- Hands-on experience developing large-scale distributed systems
- 2+ years of experience as an architect, or technical leadership position
- BS/BA in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent technical experience
