Job Summary
Senior Staff Software Development Engineer on the Shared Platform Services team in Bangalore. Focus on designing and developing secure Windows-based networking and enterprise connectivity endpoints for the Zscaler Client Connector, using C++ and platform-native languages across desktop and mobile platforms. Responsibilities include building high-quality, testable code; improving code quality; writing and executing dev tests for modules; and aligning day-to-day work with the broader mission to secure the AI era with Zero Trust principles. Requires strong Windows networking experience, C++/C#/Python proficiency, knowledge of networking/proxies, and familiarity with security/authentication systems (IDP/LDAP/SAML/OKTA); preferred experience with NDIS/LWF and IP/TCP/HTTP/SSL, plus exposure to multiple OSs (Mac, Android, iOS). Required Qualifications
- 10+ years software engineering experience, with emphasis on Microsoft Windows
- Excellent with C++ AND C# technologies, Python, Query language
- Experience in leading, architecting, designing, and debugging complex networking features on Windows
- Experience Windows desktop application development
- Knowledge on tools like Visual Studio, WinDBG, Wireshark, fiddler
- Exposure to networking domain and proxies is an added advantage
- Experience in network security products and authentication systems like IDP, LDAP, SAML, OKTA
- Preferred: Hands on Windows Networking programming experience with NDIS or LWF
- Understanding of Layer 3 and higher networking technologies - IP/TCP/HTTP/SSL protocols
- Good understanding of operating systems: Mac, Android or iOS is desired
