Job Summary
Sr. Staff SMT Technical Lead for the Bechtel Subcontract at the Bechtel Subcontract within Northrop Grumman's SDS, located at Roy, UT. Lead a cross-functional technical team of systems engineering disciplines, align supplier technical activities with program baselines, and ensure integration of supplier deliverables. Develop Bechtel SSOWs, contribute to RFIs/RFPs, evaluate technical proposals, review subcontractor deliverables, and manage technical risk and performance against metrics. Collaborate with program executives, Global Supply Chain, and Mission Assurance to drive technical maturity within cost and schedule constraints. Maintain the SMT technical action tracker, drive technical goals, and oversee robust program execution. Schedule follows a 9/80 pattern; relocation assistance may be offered. Must hold or be able to obtain DoD clearance and SAP/PAR as required, with a strong emphasis on security and compliance. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM
- 14 years’ experience or 12 years with a Masters’ degree or 10 years with a PhD
- U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP/PAR)
- 2 years of construction management experience
- 4 years of systems engineering lifecycle experience (requirements through acceptance testing)
- 4 years of managing a technical baseline
- 4 years of experience with technology suppliers (aerospace electronic systems, communications systems, payloads)
- 2 years of experience ensuring change-flow-downs to subcontractors
- 1 year of experience with DOORS, CPLM, and other management tools
- Active DoD Top Secret (preferred)
- Prior supplier management experience on a development program
- Experience in Earned Value Management (EVM) or CAM
- Experience in risk management and opportunities
- Strong technical evaluations and negotiations
- Ability to work in a full-time role with relocation potential
- 9/80 schedule experience
- US citizenship required for government-cleared roles
