Sr Staff Procurement/Purchasing Specialist - experienced for Passive Component is required

Job Summary
Lead commercial negotiations for MLCC, inductors, and embedded substrates, including pricing, LTAs, capacity agreements, and payment terms. Own supplier strategy and act as a key decision driver in supplier selection and allocation while driving cost optimization through structured methodologies like cost breakdown analysis and localization. Manage supply continuity and resilience by proactively handling capacity planning, allocation strategies, and long-term supply assurance with key component suppliers. Identify and mitigate supply chain risks including capacity constraints, geopolitical exposure, and supplier dependency. Lead cross-functional engagement with Engineering and Product Groups to ensure component readiness across NPI, ramp-up, and lifecycle management. Drive supplier performance management through structured reviews, KPI tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives. Act as a strategic interface between internal functions and suppliers to ensure alignment on roadmap, cost, and execution priorities.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of purchasing/procurement experience
- preferably in the semiconductor or electronics industry
- Fluent in English
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
- proficient in PowerPoint for executive-level presentations
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills
- the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders
Desired Qualifications
- Japanese language proficiency
- Hands-on experience or strong familiarity with passive components (MLCC/ inductors/ Embedded substrate)
- Experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, or program management
