Job Summary
The Sr. Staff Process Development Engineer, NPI at Bloom Energy will design and develop new process paradigms for enhanced fuel cell stack performance and reliability, focusing on high volume manufacturability and cost reduction. Responsibilities include process mapping and optimization through DOEs, failure analysis, materials characterization, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop production equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process development, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple projects while driving process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree in Chemical, Materials Science Engineering or a related discipline
- 6-10 years working in Process and/or Product Development
- Proficiency in DOE, statistical analysis, process control using JMP or other software
- Strong communication skills to work effectively within teams, and/or independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong level of ownership, accountability and drive for exceeding expectations
- Demonstrated experience in process development and/or process transfer to high volume manufacturing
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in formulating inks and safe handling of chemicals and materials
- Ability to manage time well on multiple projects
