Job Summary
Architect, implement, and maintain highly available Linux/Windows server platforms across on-prem and hybrid cloud environments. Manage hypervisors and enterprise storage platforms for performance and resilience, while designing and operating HashiCorp Consul, Nomad, Vault, and Boundary in production. Standardize configuration management with Ansible and infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, building automation tooling in Python to reduce toil. Monitor critical server performance, tune software, and engage third-party vendors for expedient resolution. Create and maintain system documentation for specifications, designs, and procedures. Participate in cross-functional teams to improve business processes and lead server migration and deployment projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (Computer Science preferred) with 8+ years of system engineering experience in enterprise-level, highly integrated, complex IT environment (alternatively an MS degree with 6+ years of experience)
- Working knowledge of Public Cloud-based solutions and APIs
- 8+ years of Linux experience
- 8+ years VMware/virtual server experience & working knowledge of vSphere console, vMotion, and VMware management
- Knowledge of API and API development
- 4+ years of DevOps experience
- Working proficiency of Python required
- 4+ years of Ansible experience
- 4+ years of enterprise storage platforms experience with NFS/SMB/CIFS and storage solutions including, but not limited to, QNAP, Pure, HPE, Netapp
- Advanced knowledge of Active Directory architecture and support including: Group Policy, Replication, DNS, User and Group Management
- Show an understanding of Information Security best practices
- Ability to produce and adhere to documentation – Visio, run books, Project Plans, Root Cause Analysis
- Strong documentation and communication skills applicable to a Customer Service role
- Must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or 2) be eligible to obtain an export control license or license exception from the Bureau of Industry and Science & U.S. Department of Commerce
Desired Qualifications
- An LPIC1 certification is a notable plus
