Job Summary
Senior Staff Quality Engineer to own and evolve Ayar Labs' Quality Management System (ISO 9001 based) and drive quality across external partners (foundries, OSATs, CMs). Lead Stage-Gate process for hardware/software products, define DFMEA/PFMEA, establish IQC/OQC strategies, and monitor SPC/FPY with real-time data from partner manufacturing. Ensure product quality from design through production, maintain product traceability, calibration, and change control, and oversee supplier governance and readiness for manufacturing across Ayar Labs product lines.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering
- Optical Sciences
- Physics, or related technical discipline
- Experience: 7 to 10 years in Quality/Engineering or Operations in semiconductor/electronics industries
- QMS Proficiency: ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 experience; familiarity with Arena, Propel, ETQ is preferred
- Fabless experience managing quality through external foundries, OSATs, and CMs
- Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing and/or advanced packaging; familiarity with photonics or laser module assembly (ELSFP) and high-precision alignment would be desirable
