Job Summary
Join Northrop Grumman as a Sr Staff Cyber Systems Engineer to lead cyber systems engineering teams focused on the Sentinel Mission Defense Team. Provide recommendations for Systems Security Engineering efforts involving complex software and hardware, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards. Requires a collaborative candidate with advanced knowledge in systems security and a strong background in engineering roles, possessing an active DoD Secret clearance, and the ability to obtain higher-level clearances.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical/science discipline with 14 years of relevant experience
- Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical/science discipline with 12 years of relevant experience
- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical/science discipline with 10 years of relevant experience
- Advanced knowledge of Systems Security Engineering practices, network technologies, DoD system development life cycles and methodologies, and insight into information technology infrastructure management/monitoring and applications
- At least 8 years proven experience managing in a Systems Engineering role with schedule, cost and scope responsibilities
- Experience in the planning, designing, implementation, testing, and delivery of a system with Cyber Systems Engineering requirements
- Minimum of 8 years hands-on design, implementation, integration, testing, verification and experience involving; Avionics Engineering Systems, Hardware / Software Engineering, and/or Electrical Design
- A current/active DoD Secret clearance
- The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret w/SCI clearance is required
- The ability to obtain and maintain a SAP is required.
- Ability to obtain, within 6 months or less of hire, full DoD 8570 qualification in the IASAE 3 role
Desired Qualifications
- Briefed to the Sentinel program
- Current/active DoD Top Secret w/SCI and SAP access
- Expertise with all aspects of Systems Security Engineering as defined in NIST SP 800-160
- Experience with DoD Inter-Continental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) systems
- Experience with High Assurance design and engineering efforts
- Expertise with Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) and related tools such as DOORS, Cameo, etc.
- Expertise with containerized software systems in accordance with DoD DevSecOps Reference Design and a demonstrated ability to manage and direct efforts following an Agile and DevSecOps process model
- Experience developing basis of estimate for bidding new work scope, developing Statements of Work, and a track record of successfully analyzing, estimating, and implementing solutions to complex problems spanning multiple engineering disciplines
- Experience innovating in Accreditation processes and procedures in a multi-certification (Cyber, Nuclear Surety, etc.) context as part of a Digital Engineering Environment
- Background in System Design and Validation on systems involving Microprocessors and Data Concentration
