Job Summary
Sr. Specialist - Planning at KBR’s Sustainable Technology Solutions group supports offshore oil & gas projects by providing planning and cost-control leadership. The role involves serving as Lead Offshore Structural Designer / Checker for a major project with FPSO facilities, jacket platforms, topside modules, living quarters and fixed offshore installations. Responsibilities include analyzing project cost spending versus budget and forecast, developing and maintaining project cost control tools, preparing cash flow forecasts in coordination with accounting, validating cost components against contract terms, implementing change management processes, applying earned value management, facilitating cost and performance reviews with project teams and clients, and guiding less experienced team members. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in related Business, Accounting or Finance degree preferred
- 10 to 15 years of project cost controls experience required
- Must be experienced in utilizing cost systems to manage cost performance on a portfolio of several projects concurrently
- Strong business and analytical acumen
- Advanced interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in SAP PS cost system preferred
- Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft office products
- Knowledge of SAP WBS structures preferred
- Self starter who can take a leadership role in ensuring that an effective cost controls process is implemented and maintained across a portfolio of projects
- Knowledge of cost controls related with home office engineering work
- Knowledge of cost controls related with field maintenance and construction work performed in process plants
