Sr. Specialist – L1 Integration Testing

Job Summary
Own vehicle-level electrical and software integration strategy across complete vehicle programs, validating system behavior under nominal and edge conditions and coordinating across Powertrain, Electrification, ADAS, Body & Comfort, Infotainment, and Central Compute. Manage integration of domain controllers/ECUs, validate bootloader/partitioning strategies, and oversee regression testing, KPI tracking (defect leakage, integration maturity, build stability, bus load margins, SW flash success). Ensure compliance with SRS, manage CAN/LIN/FlexRay/Automotive Ethernet networks, and drive cross-domain collaboration with software engineers, validation teams, and suppliers. Requires Master’s degree and 10+ years of experience, deep knowledge of automotive E/E architectures, and hands-on proficiency with industry tools and methodologies. Location-based requirements include in-office presence in Charlotte, NC and Novi, MI with periodic travel.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 10+ years of experience
- Strong understanding of vehicle E/E architecture and ECU-level software stacks, automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet)
- UDS diagnostics (ISO 14229) and diagnostic communication tools
- Proficiency with Jira, GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, and Artifactory; PLM/ALM tools (Polarion, DOORS Next Gen, Windchill)
- MATLAB/Simulink for execution in hardware-in-the-loop environments
- Experience with AUTOSAR Classic/Adaptive
- Familiarity with embedded SW, EE systems and vehicle networks
- Ability to coordinate cross-domain integration and drive root-cause analysis
- Strong problem solving, data analysis, and cross-team collaboration skills
- Experience with vehicle network tools (CANalyzer, CANoe) and various communication protocols
