Job Summary
Part-time, on-site HR Business Partner role for Smurfit Westrock Australia & New Zealand. Initially focused on end-to-end recruitment across frontline to senior roles, spanning white- and blue-collar hiring in operational and corporate functions, with progression into broader HR partnering. Responsibilities include managing the full employee lifecycle, improving the employee experience, advising on job design, partnering with leaders to build collaborative teams, using engagement data to drive actions, handling sensitive people matters, coaching leaders, delivering training, and supportingER matters and EA negotiations. Requires strong relationship building with unions, data-driven decision making, and a pragmatic, commercially minded approach within fast-paced, industrial environments. Tertiary qualifications in HR/Business or related discipline and 5+ years of relevant experience expected.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years HRBP experience
- end-to-end recruitment experience across multiple functions
- experience managing Employee Relations and EA negotiations
- tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline
- strong stakeholder management including union representatives
- knowledge of Australian employment and industrial relations law
- Workday or HRIS platforms experience
