Job Summary

Support the rapid, high-capacity Space Data Network acquisition and launch by acting as a key systems engineer. Advise government leadership on system requirements, risks, and mitigation strategies while developing creative solutions to challenging engineering problems. Establish and maintain trust with the U.S. Space Force and other national security customers through effective communication and oversight of program execution. Work full-time on-site in El Segundo, CA, with a Top Secret/SSBI/SCI clearance required for interviews.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, physical science, mathematics, or related technical degree
  • 12 or more years of engineering experience, including experience in a systems engineering and/or program management environment
  • Experience building and maintaining effective interpersonal relations with internal and external organizations such as with customers, Aerospace, contractors, or related
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Work integrally and effectively lead the program office team and staff from external organizations
  • Current Top Secret/SSBI/SCI clearance to interview with the ability to obtain and maintain additional security clearances
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Willing to travel domestically approx. 10-15%
  • Required to work full-time, on-site at our facility in El Segundo, CA

Desired Qualifications

  • Current or previous accesses to Special Access Programs
  • An advanced degree in a relevant technical area
  • Experience working in a program office with a government customer
  • Knowledge of launch systems
