Sr. Sourcing Specialist, PCBA (Starshield)

Job Summary
Develop and implement sourcing and cost management strategies for Starshield satellite hardware, pulling aggregate demand signals to enable accurate rate planning. Act as the primary supplier interface for all RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs, partnering with internal stakeholders to run evaluation processes and implement sourcing decisions. Manage aggressive cost targets by developing should-cost models and driving process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce supplier expenses. Ensure suppliers support prototype builds, ramp-up, and mass production while maintaining strong partnerships and managing performance through analytical data tools. Present value propositions to executives regarding contract awards, cost reviews, and critical supply issues. Work directly with key suppliers to support existing platforms and new product development within a high-velocity environment focused on national security.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 2+ years of experience working in purchasing, procurement, material planning, production planning, supply chain management, or engineering
- 5+ years of experience working in purchasing, procurement, material planning, production planning, supply chain management
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national
- Must be a U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder)
- Must be a Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157
- Must be an Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158
- Must be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
- Must be able to work irregular hours with global suppliers in different time zones
- Must be able to travel for short and extended trips as needed, up to 25% travel
- Must be willing to work extended hours and/or weekends when needed
- Must be based in Hawthorne, CA and require being onsite - remote work not considered
Desired Qualifications
- Technical procurement or planning experience with PCB, PCBA, or electrical components
- Technical procurement, manufacturing, or electronic component and board-level commodity experience
- Proven track record of leadership and team-building skills
- Experience in production purchasing
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Knowledge and skills in current technologies and applications, e.g. MS Office Suite, SQL, Access, etc.
- Effective written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and prioritize appropriately to meet customer and company needs
- Excellent customer service skills
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment
- Conducts all activities with the highest integrity
- Previous work experience reading datasheets, drawings, and blueprints
