Job Summary
Sr Sourcing Merchandiser (Fabric Sourcing, Knits) responsible for the development process and strategy execution for assigned fabric/product departments, and for executing country/mill/vendor strategy in partnership with internal teams. Manage fabric/product/vendor development (P2M) including development sampling, initial costs, negotiation, and production & capacity planning to meet design aesthetics and quality standards. Manage relationships with mills/vendors, support vendor allocation and aggregated costing, drive capacity planning to achieve cost targets. Partner with mills/vendors to drive innovation and quality while proactively resolving fabric/product and quality issues. Onboard new mills/vendors and train existing ones, supporting evaluation. Seek continuous improvement in fabric/product/vendor development and overall sourcing procedures. Develop communication skills to exchange complex information and manage projects/program execution within area of specialty, ensuring quality of work. Required Qualifications
- Proven success in global fabric/product/vendor development
- Experience in fabric/product development lifecycle
- Ability to drive results through planning and prioritization
- Strong negotiation and capacity planning skills
- Ability to onboard and train mills/vendors
- Strong communication skills to exchange complex information
- Experience with continuous improvement in sourcing procedures
- Ability to manage multiple projects/programs in area of specialty
