Job Summary
Lead pre-sales engagements as a Sr. Solutions Engineer for Digital Realty’s data center solutions. Design customized data center infrastructure (space, power, cooling, airflow, connectivity) and act as the local SME for assigned campuses, collaborating with Sales, Design Engineering, Operations, and Management to drive customer-focused outcomes from initial engagement through handoff to implementation. Conduct site surveys, support RFPs/RFIs, present technical solutions, develop detailed proposals/SOWs, and stay current on industry trends and best practices. Requires strong technical design capabilities (power distribution, cooling, airflow, security, networking), CAD tools proficiency, and ability to communicate complex solutions to customers while coordinating cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; 3–5 years of experience in a B2B sales engineering or design environment, preferably within data centers, telecom, networking, or high-tech facilities
