Job Summary
Senior Solutions Architect, Unified Commerce Solutions responsible for cross-portfolio architectural leadership across eCommerce, DOM, Store, Jewelry Services, and Customer Care platforms. Defines and maintains the UC Solutions technical roadmap, creates enterprise architecture standards and reference patterns, and drives governance of architecture decisions. Provides informal, peer-level technical leadership to solution architects across domains, helps establish a Unified Commerce Architecture Community of Practice, and mentors engineers on craft, communication, and stakeholder engagement. Leads hands-on architecture efforts on high-impact cross-domain initiatives (e.g., CMS direction, platform modernization, large-scale integration changes) and advocates AI-enabled SDLC tooling. Communicates technical realities and trade-offs to senior business leaders, translating CX strategy into architectural direction and aligning delivery with customer outcomes. Strong focus on multi-brand cross-portfolio architecture, integration patterns, and end-to-end system coherence, with experience in maintaining durable artifacts (capability maps, ADRs, C4 diagrams) and contributing to enterprise architecture governance. Preferred experience includes SAP Commerce Cloud (Composable), IBM Sterling Order Management, headless CMS in commerce, Oracle Xstore POS in multi-brand contexts, and Adobe Real-Time CDP integrated into commerce stacks. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline
- 8+ years in solutions architecture or related roles in eCommerce/omnichannel/retail technology
- Experience as a senior or principal architect responsible for cross-domain or cross-portfolio architecture
- Multi-brand experience across a portfolio of brands sharing common platform infrastructure
- Strong command of modern integration architecture, API and event-driven patterns, microservices, headless/composable commerce concepts
- Ability to author durable architecture artifacts (capability maps, C4 diagrams, ADRs, target-state architectures)
- Experience partnering with Product and Design leaders to translate CX strategy into architectural direction
- Experience navigating a matrixed organization and influencing peers without direct authority
- Strong financial fluency to frame architectural choices in business terms
- Strong executive communication skills
- Proficiency with documentation tools (Confluence, Lucidchart/draw.io, Jira) and Microsoft Office
