Job Summary
Design and develop scalable, secure, and cost-effective technical solutions while researching appropriate technologies and platforms. Define system interfaces and data flows, then create technical documentation, architectural diagrams, and specifications to guide development teams. Produce reference architectures including landscape views, capability models, and roadmaps, ensuring designs align with DFAT's defined templates and principles. Coordinate team implementation, address technical challenges, and ensure designs undergo peer review with relevant stakeholders. Proactively engage in Design Authority and Architecture Review Board forums to promote engagement and provide constructive feedback on architectural guidance.
Required Qualifications
- Applicants must have a TOGAF or equivalent industry certification (or the ability to obtain one)
- Applicants should be able to demonstrate a range of technology certifications and/or study undertaken
- Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years working within the ICT industry
- Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years producing solution architecture/system design documentation
- Experience working on secure government systems
- Experience working in complex ICT environments
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Minimum NV1 security clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in complex global ICT environments
- Experience applying Information Security Manual (ISM) and Essential 8 controls through pragmatic design options
- Experience with cloud computing and complex connectivity and integration patterns
- Experience with a diverse range of technologies and mix of on site, private cloud, and SaaS technology, and the secure integration of these
