Sr. Software Quality Automation Engineer

Job Summary
Lead end-to-end test strategy and automation architecture for the ICyte platform, owning functional, performance (JMeter), and data validation layers across PostgreSQL and Snowflake. Build and maintain robust Python-based test frameworks and BDD feature suites using Playwright, while driving remediation on performance results and integrating AI-augmented tools like Claude Code and AWS Bedrock into the workflow. Surface quality risks proactively during Agile ceremonies and incident responses, producing defect trend analyses and quality reports to inform stakeholder decisions. Mentor junior engineers and elevate team standards through knowledge sharing, ensuring test coverage aligns with biopharma regulatory requirements and client needs.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of strong expertise in Test requirement understanding, test data, test plan & test case designing
- 3+ years of test automation – UI and API testing
- Creating, execution and maintenance of automated test cases with Selenium web-driver (v3+)/playwright
- Programming experience in Python (MUST)
- Deep BDD expertise — framework design, Gherkin authoring, step library architecture, living documentation
- Proven JMeter experience — test plan design, distributed execution, and results analysis
- Hands-on experience working in an AI-augmented or agentic development/testing environment (e.g. Claude Code, Copilot, AWS Bedrock, or equivalent)
- Experienced working with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of owning quality outcomes end-to-end
