Job Summary
Analyze requirements and design technical solutions for enterprise applications built with VB.NET and Windows Forms. Develop, maintain, and enhance these systems while optimizing SQL Server queries and managing data integrations. Troubleshoot production defects, support C# and REST API services, and contribute to modernizing legacy codebases. Participate in Agile ceremonies, conduct code reviews, and provide technical guidance to the team. Ensure data security and maintain documentation throughout the development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience using VB.NET and the Microsoft .NET Framework
- Strong hands-on experience developing and maintaining Windows Forms applications
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including complex queries, stored procedures, performance tuning, and database design
- Working knowledge of C# and ability to support applications built on the .NET ecosystem
- Experience consuming and maintaining RESTful APIs and system integrations
- Experience working with legacy applications and modernizing existing codebases
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and software architecture best practices
- Experience with source control systems such as Git and collaborative development workflows
- Experience with debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of complex software issues
- Knowledge of unit testing and software quality practices
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
- Ability to create and maintain technical documentation
- Strong communication skills (clear, concise, and effective in both verbal and written interactions)
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively within cross-functional teams
