Job Summary
Lead and develop a team of software engineers responsible for delivering software solutions for customer projects in warehouse automation and supply chain environments. Drive project delivery in line with schedules and budgets, partner with project/product/operations teams, own the software build/development/integration/testing and sustained deployment for automation systems, manage risks and blockers, identify sustainment initiatives, establish engineering guidelines and QA processes, drive continuous improvement of development workflows and delivery efficiency, support estimation/resource allocation for multiple concurrent projects, and mentor engineers to foster accountability, teamwork, and innovation. Collaborate with global teams to standardize tools and practices; engage in technical architecture discussions to ensure scalable, maintainable solutions; support partner concerns and critical project issues. Preferred background includes experience in logistics/supply chain or warehouse automation, real-time control systems, WCS/WMS, and familiarity with modern programming languages and enterprise architectures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with 3–5 years in a leadership or management role
- Experience delivering sophisticated software systems in project-driven environments
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, agile methodologies, and system integration
- Experience leading multi-functional teams and running multiple concurrent initiatives
- Excellent communication and customer leadership skills
- Experience with automation systems, warehouse control systems (WCS), warehouse management systems (WMS), or industrial software is helpful
- Knowledge of modern programming languages, distributed systems, and enterprise software architectures
