Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer (ServiceNow) at Applied Network Solutions to lead deployment, administration, development, and integration of the ServiceNow suite on Windows and Linux, coordinating with DB developers on MariaDB requirements. Responsibilities include guiding Agile/Scrum/SDLC processes, RMF/A&A compliance, and automation/orchestration using Ansible, Python, Terraform, and PowerShell; mentoring team members; producing technical documentation and user handoffs; ensuring performance/availability and proactive issue response; and delivering deployable ServiceNow solutions with smooth production handoffs. Requires TS/SCI Poly, IAT Level 2, 5+ years ServiceNow experience, multiple advanced ServiceNow certifications, strong leadership, and cross-platform integration expertise. The role supports potential on-site work in Chantilly, VA or remotely in TX/CO/FL under contract terms.
Required Qualifications
- TS SCI Poly
- 16 years of experience (combination of work history and education) or equivalent
- DoD 8140.03 (8570) IAT Level 2
- At least 5 years of ServiceNow experience
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator
- At least one additional advanced ServiceNow certification
- ServiceNow SDLC experience across concept, design, engineering, production, and sustainment phases
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, SDLC
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and lead others
- Experience automating ServiceNow deployments and configurations for large-scale enterprise deployments
- Experience with automated testing/validation/verification methods
- Strong client-facing and internal communication skills
- Excellent documentation skills
- Ability to adapt in dynamic environments and manage shifting priorities
- Cross-platform and integration experience (Windows, Linux, Juniper, Cisco)
- Scripting/ development in ServiceNow (JavaScript) and integration with external systems (Java, Python, Perl, PowerShell)
- Experience with databases (MariaDB)
- Microsoft Office suite experience
