Job Summary
Sr. Security Engineer at Pipedream (Workday). Own platform security end-to-end in a polyglot stack (TypeScript, Rust, Kotlin, Ruby). Responsibilities include finding/patching vulnerabilities in code and dependencies, building and maintaining the platform threat model, securing AWS/GCP and third-party surfaces, leading incident response, and owning SOC 2, HIPAA, and other compliance efforts. Collaborate with Product/Engineering and Workday security to translate policy into secure features; first dedicated security engineer for the platform.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in product security, application security, or software engineering with a security focus
- Hands-on experience with vulnerability management, threat modeling, and risk analysis
- Experience securing AWS or comparable cloud platforms at production scale
- Experience with security incident response and coordinating remediation
- Proficiency across a polyglot stack (TypeScript, Rust, Kotlin, Ruby, etc.) and patching code/dependencies
- Experience with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or HIPAA is a plus
- Ability to read and patch code across multiple languages
- Strong security program-building experience and collaboration with engineers
