Job Summary
Design, implement, and extend high-performance C++ functionality across five Equities Trading Environments, focusing on Order Handlers, Matching Engines, and Market Data. Own features end-to-end from design through delivery, coordinating with business stakeholders and mentoring junior engineers. Provide technical support by diagnosing and resolving complex production issues, including coverage outside normal working hours. Interview and evaluate software engineer candidates while ensuring systems maintain strong quality, testability, and production readiness.
Required Qualifications
- Significant experience working with modern C++ (C++11 at a minimum)
- Experience implementing low-level, high-performance solutions
- A track record of taking ownership of features or projects from design through to production
- Experience mentoring or supporting the development of less experienced engineers
- A proactive mindset
- Strong communication skills
- Comfort working directly with stakeholders across the business
- Experience working and developing for Linux environments
Desired Qualifications
- C++20 experience
- Experience with SQL and relational databases
- Experience with Python
- Exposure to low-latency or real-time trading systems
- Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar fields
