Job Summary
Sr Software Engineer for Disney Payments and Accounting Technology on a 2-year Project Hire. Build and maintain APIs and services for internal and external-facing applications; develop cloud-enabled solutions on AWS; full-stack capabilities with Angular, Node.js, and Java 17+ under a microservices architecture; implement AI/GenAI features (RAG, prompt design, guardrails); collaborate across Product, QA, and engineering to deliver scalable, reliable solutions; ensure production readiness and support ongoing product refreshes; required experience includes 5+ years in software development and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent education and experience
- Minimum 5 years of related work experience in software development
- Full stack engineer with strong cloud, API, and UI capabilities
- Angular (components, RxJS, state management)
- Node.js (Express/NestJS)
- Java 17+, microservices, Spring Boot, REST APIs
- AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Aurora)
- Relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB)
- UI and API testing (JUnit, Postman)
- Strong debugging skills, production readiness, and partner integration experience
- AI Skills: LLM/Generative AI experience (RAG, prompt design, guardrails)
- Agentic AI development (one or more: Amazon Q/Kiro, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude)
- Python scripting for automation and AI/ML integration
- Agile environment experience
- Team collaboration with Product, QA, and engineering partners
- Strong problem-solving and adaptable in fast-paced environments
