Job Summary
Sr. Software Engineer on SpaceX's Platform Team responsible for designing and scaling secure, scalable AI platforms and proxy systems used across the company. Lead end-to-end platform initiatives including technical strategy, implementation, testing, deployment, and long-term evolution. Drive onboarding of frontier models, expand compute resources, and optimize proxy systems for performance, security, logging, and control. Mentor engineers, promote adoption of shared products, prompts, skills, and infrastructure, and deliver solutions that turn problems into deployed software and trained models on reliable compute. Develop and scale tools to mitigate business risk such as AI-powered code review and PR automation; define best practices for lean, secure applied AI; collaborate with ML researchers, security, and operations teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other engineering discipline
- 5+ years of professional experience building production software
- Experience developing and operating production platforms (AI/ML infrastructure, developer platforms, or large-scale backend systems)
