Job Summary
Develop the LogScale backend in Scala to handle over 100 PB of daily event ingestion and millions of hourly queries while ensuring high availability. Own end-to-end delivery of new features and improvements, including scoping, design, development, automated testing, and production monitoring via LogScale dashboards. Lead by example through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance to maintain operational excellence across distributed clusters. Troubleshoot critical customer issues and collaborate cross-functionally to define solutions for open-ended engineering problems.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in software development in general
- Fluency in both functional and object oriented programming

- Demonstrated track record of operational excellence when operating services that span many components across several geographical regions
- Ability to communicate and articulate technical concepts crisply to individual contributors and management
- Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes
- Experience in contributing to broad technical leadership in products or services
- Experience in juggling making pragmatic tradeoffs between short-time delivery needs vs long-term product goals
- A passion for or personal interest in distributed systems
- Curiosity of how running systems are doing
- Experience programming in Scala
- Experience with commercial clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with Kafka
- Hands on experience in large-scale (distributed) system architecture, high scalability and availability, and optimization - over 1 trillion requests per day or more than 10 PB of data per day
- Exposure to or experience with Log Management or cybersecurity products
- 2-3 days per week on-site at our Aarhus Office
