Job Summary
Sr. Software Engineer leading design and development of Open Blue Edge Platform features and components. Hands-on backend/frontend exploration and integration with edge computing technologies, ML at the edge, and deployment/monitoring. Leads a team of engineers, drives design/code reviews, enforces standards, develops prototypes, and collaborates with architects to ensure architecture alignment. Requires strong C++11/14, Linux/Android/iOS experience, mobile architecture patterns, API design and security practices, and experience with distributed teams and CI/CD for mobile apps.
Required Qualifications
- B.Tech. or M.Tech. in Computer Science
- 6-10 years in software product development
- Expert level coding skills in C++11/14
- Minimum 4+ years of work on C/C++
- Minimum 3+ years of work on Linux platform with deep Linux understanding
- Hands-on experience with Android (Java/Kotlin) and/or iOS (Swift/Objective-C)
- Strong understanding of mobile architecture patterns (MVVM, MVC, Clean Architecture)
- Experience with mobile app lifecycle, memory management, performance optimization, and debugging
- Strong API design, contracts, and versioning experience
- Experience designing or consuming mobile SDKs
- Familiarity with real-time data synchronization and offline-first architectures
- Security knowledge of mobile best practices: secure storage, data encryption, authentication protocols
- Experience with Android Studio / Xcode, debugging and profiling tools
- Unit testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps
- Experience with app release management (Play Store / App Store)
- Experience with GitHub, Scrum methodology
- Experience working with globally distributed teams
- TCP/IP stack knowledge
- Knowledge of mobile security best practices
