Job Summary
Develop and maintain software solutions and integrations that interface with VoIP devices, including IP phones, SIP adapters, ATA adapters, and DECT base stations. Design and implement features for device management, provisioning, activation, and control in the UI while troubleshooting production issues and writing comprehensive unit tests. Collaborate with Product Management, Design, and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical specifications, working closely with QA throughout the feature lifecycle and reviewing peers' code to maintain quality.
Required Qualifications
- Professional experience as a Software Engineer
- Hands-on experience with Python or other relevant structured languages
- Experience working with both front-end and back-end technologies
- Experience working with databases
- Expertise in unit testing
- Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP, UDP)
- Experience with RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
- This position reports to our Hardware Engineering Manager and is a hybrid role, with the opportunity to be based in our Vancouver office

- Experience working closely with customers and customer-facing teams
- Experience combining traditional hardware solutions with cloud communication platforms
- Contributing to high-impact projects that drive critical business strategies
- Design and implement features and improvements for device management, provisioning, activation, and control in the UI
- Troubleshooting production/customer-related issues with devices
- Writing and maintaining comprehensive unit tests to ensure the robustness of device integration management software
- Maintaining code quality by reviewing peers' code
- Collaborating with Product Management, Design, and cross-functional engineering teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Working closely with QA throughout the entire lifecycle of a feature
- Work on self-development and continuous self-improvement to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies in the field
