Job Summary
Develop and maintain responsive front-end applications and robust backend APIs that support real-time data streaming features for dynamic map visualizations. Bridge the gap between data pipelines and user interfaces by collaborating cross-functionally with Backend, Data Science, and DevOps teams to integrate AI models into the user experience. Participate in the full development lifecycle, writing clean, documented code and monitoring application performance to troubleshoot production issues. Requires a BS/MS in Computer Science and 3+ years of full-stack experience with React, Python, and Node.js. Base pay ranges from $144,000 to $180,000.
Required Qualifications
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience across the full stack
- Solid proficiency in modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, TypeScript) and backend languages (e.g., Python, Node.js, Rust, Go)
- Experience handling real-time data on the frontend (e.g., WebSockets, SSE) and managing application state
- Good understanding of API design (REST/GraphQL), relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), and caching layers (e.g., Redis)
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and modern development workflows (Git)
- Able to leverage AI coding assistants to increase velocity while fully understanding and taking ownership of all code you commit
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset to thrive in a fast-paced team environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with web-based mapping and visualization libraries (e.g., Mapbox, MapLibre)
- Experience with real-time audio consumption workflows, including Opus decoding, browser audio rendering APIs, and managing multi-channel live audio streams via LiveKit/WebRTC
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and basic Kubernetes concepts
- Exposure to event-driven architectures or streaming systems
- A deep interest or background in aerospace, aviation, or autonomous systems
