Job Summary
Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software components for the Nispera asset performance management platform, which ingests real-time operational data to deliver predictive maintenance insights for renewable energy and storage assets. Collaborate with Product Owners and Tech Leads to deliver features in iterative sprints, implementing scalable, secure solutions while optimizing application performance and ensuring high availability. Contribute to architecture decisions, conduct code reviews, and integrate with data pipelines, APIs, and cloud services to support advanced analytics. Troubleshoot complex technical issues in production environments and mentor junior developers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 8+ years' software development experience
- Strong ability to articulate technical concepts in written and spoken English
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in an agile Scrum environment
- Proficiency in Python and/or Node.js
- Strong grasp of scalable REST API
- Deep understanding of modern front-end technologies and frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue
- Hands-on experience with relational databases, primarily PostgreSQL (TimescaleDB extension a plus) and MySQL
- Experience with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (EKS, ECR, S3, API Gateway)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools, unit testing, and version control systems (Git)
Desired Qualifications
- Deep understanding of modern authentication standards such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and JWT (JSON Web Tokens)
- Previous experience in the energy sector, especially renewables or battery storage
