Job Summary
Senior SpaceX software engineer focused on flight reliability. Own and develop highly reliable software used across SpaceX, build new applications to improve operations, create prototypes to validate design concepts, and contribute to architecture, design, and code reviews. Requires strong full-stack development experience, proficiency in Python or other OO languages, experience with SPA frameworks, CI/CD, testing, performance profiling, and the ability to work onsite. Roles involve solving mission-critical problems for launch vehicles and Starlink, with opportunities to work on agentic AI systems, containerized deployments (Docker), and frontend-backend integration. Onsite requirement and potential extended hours/weekends align with launch cadence. Compensation range: $160,000–$225,000 per year.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or scientific discipline and 4+ years of professional experience building OR 6+ years of professional experience in software development in lieu of a degree
- 5+ years of experience in full stack development
