Job Summary
Sr Software Engineer on the DEEP&T Business Operations engineering team focused on building and maintaining large-scale, secure software with a frontend-heavy stack and strong backend APIs. You will own end-to-end development of medium-to-large features, mentor peers, establish engineering best practices, contribute to architectural decisions, and work on AI-assisted capabilities such as streaming chat surfaces, structured-output forms, and retrieval-grounded search. The role emphasizes React/TypeScript-based frontend development, Node.js/Express/NestJS APIs, microservices and containerization, cloud deployments, CI/CD, testing, and code quality, with opportunities to work on AI tool integration and collaboration with AI-application engineers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
- 5+ years hands-on software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in React.js and its ecosystem
- Experience with Node.js/Express.js/NestJS
- RESTful APIs and GraphQL
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
- Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Cypress, JUnit)
- Experience with microservices and containerization
- Knowledge of authentication/authorization (JWT, OAuth, OpenID)
- Experience with frontend frameworks and modern UI/UX principles
- Experience with LLM-backed services or AI-assisted development is a plus
- Experience with real-time UIs (WebSockets/SSE)
- Experience with design systems or component libraries
- Experience with TypeScript
- Experience with Next.js/Remix or similar frameworks
- Experience integrating AI tools into development workflows
- Experience with plan-first or spec-first workflows for coding agents
- Experience in media/entertainment/streaming tech is a plus
