Sr Software Engineer-DevOps

Job Summary
Senior DevOps Engineer to Own, scale, and evolve Yugabyte's core infrastructure powering automated testing, build pipelines, and release processes. Own end-to-end developer pipeline, scale CI/CD engines, optimize test orchestration and performance, and build secure, scalable deployment platforms across cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) using Kubernetes, Docker, and IaC tooling (Terraform, Ansible). Role involves collaborating with Core Engineering, SRE, Cloud, and Security teams, reducing developer friction, and improving deployment reliability and tempo.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent technical field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Build/Platform Engineering, SRE, or a highly related infrastructure role
- Production experience scaling CI platforms (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
- Solid experience deploying, operating, and debugging Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads
- Proven track record managing public cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) using Terraform or similar IaC tools
- Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, Go, or similar languages
- Deep knowledge of Linux systems administration, networking fundamentals, and distributed systems concepts
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
