Job Summary
Senior Cloud-focused software engineer to join CrowdStrike Cloud Security's Cloud Risk team. Role centers on processing and connecting large-scale customer data across CrowdStrike cloud products to identify misconfigurations, security risks, and compliance issues in cloud environments, prioritize risk, and enable data-driven security decisions. Responsibilities include building ETL jobs and data warehouses to store and provide insights from metrics and events, developing and consuming RESTful APIs, interacting with multiple product groups to collect key metrics via APIs, Kafka integrations or direct data access, and participating in uptime alerting to keep services healthy. Required skills include 6+ years of programming experience (Golang and Python preferred), experience with AWS/Azure/GCP, RESTful web services, Redis or similar caching, SQL/RDBMS, data modeling, and ETL concepts. Bonus points for experience with analytical databases, Elasticsearch, Cassandra/CQL, graph databases, and Kafka.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in programming
- Golang and Python are preferred languages
- Experience with at least two cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience developing and consuming RESTful API web services
- Experience interacting with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Understanding of data structures and Redis or similar key-value distributed caching
- Experience with RDBMS databases and SQL
- Experience with data modeling and ETL concepts
- Proficiency with algorithms and data structures, code whiteboarding
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
