Sr Software Engineer - Airtable

Job Summary
Design and maintain Airtable bases, data models, interfaces, views, forms, scripts, and automations to support workflow automation, operational reporting, and cross-functional collaboration. Build reusable templates, standardized schemas, and cross-functional design patterns while managing role-based access control, user provisioning, and data security configurations. Analyze operational workflows to translate them into structured Airtable solutions, including integrations via the Airtable API, middleware tools like Make or Workato, and custom scripts. Partner with engineering and data teams to establish secure data flows, validate data quality, and develop dashboards for productivity and decision-making. Create user documentation, training guides, and governance playbooks, then provide sessions and consultative guidance to improve platform adoption.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
- 6–9 years of experience configuring or administering Airtable or similar low-code/no-code platforms
- Deep hands-on experience designing Airtable bases, interfaces, automations, schemas, scripts, and governance models
- Strong understanding of workflow design, process mapping, and operational optimization
- Experience with API usage, scripting, or integration platforms (Make, Workato, Zapier, or equivalent)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate requirements into scalable system configurations
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management abilities
Desired Qualifications
- Experience administering multi-workspace Airtable environments at enterprise scale
- Familiarity with Airtable Enterprise features (SSO, admin panel, audit logs, and enterprise governance)
- Experience with automation, scripting (JavaScript preferred), or API orchestration
- Background in change management, user experience design, or system rollout planning
- Experience supporting global teams in a cross-functional, matrixed environment
