Job Summary
Sr AI Experience Engineer responsible for designing and building personalization, recommendation, ranking, retrieval, candidate-generation, and re-ranking systems to enhance Vivint AI experiences, developing representations from behavioral signals and product telemetry, building feedback loops from user interactions, partnering with AI teams to connect context and memory, designing experiments (A/B tests, contextual bandits, etc.), and deploying/monitoring production systems with attention to latency, reliability, and privacy. Preferred experience includes collaborative filtering, vector retrieval, model serving, GenAI rememberers, and IoT/device telemetry, with a base salary between $153k and $185k.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI/ML, or related technical field AND 5+ years of software development, applied science, or ML engineering; OR Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI/ML, or related field AND 2+ years of experience in software development, applied science, or ML engineering
- Experience with ranking, retrieval, recommendation, personalization, or learning-to-rank systems
- Strong Python, SQL, data engineering, and production ML skills
- Experience with embeddings, behavioral datasets, online/offline evaluation, and experimentation
- Experience deploying ML systems into production with CI/CD and monitoring
- Strong communication skills and ability to partner with product, analytics, design, and engineering teams
