Sr. Site Reliability Engineer

Job Summary
Senior Site Reliability Engineer responsible for planning, design, and implementation of automation to support a hybrid on-prem and cloud environment. Focus on reducing toil, improving reliability, and accelerating DevOps through infrastructure as code, cloud-native patterns, and automation. Will design and deploy IaC strategies, perform root cause analysis, create reusable cloud-native templates, automate common tasks, and train staff. Works with Networks, System Engineers, and Software Developers to transition to cloud-native architectures, build CI/CD pipelines, and improve security and efficiency. Emphasizes automation, scalable infrastructure, and a strong knowledge of containers, configuration management, cloud providers, and networking.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related IT or engineering field
- 5-7 years of enterprise experience
- Experience with hybrid on-prem and cloud environments
- Experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, etc.)
- Experience with Configuration Management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef...)
- Experience with Windows and Linux based systems
- Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, HTTP)
- Experience with at least one programming language (Go, C#, Java, Node.js, Python)
- Experience with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure)
- CI/CD tooling experience (Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline)
- Knowledge of DevOps practices (CI/CD, Canary Deploys, Blue-Green, infrastructure as code)
- Excellent communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT/engineering
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may suffice
