Job Summary
Sr Site Activation Manager responsible for overseeing site start-up activities from site identification through activation and lifecycle maintenance. Collaborates with cross-functional teams (Business Development, Alliance Management, Contracts/Proposals, SSU Country Managers, Project Management, Clinical, Data Management, Medical Writing) to identify and mitigate risks, ensure timely delivery of SSU deliverables, and maintain client satisfaction. Develops and maintains site start-up timelines, oversees regulatory activities (submissions, ethics communications, import/export licenses), manages investigator budgets and site activation documentation (SIS/ICF), and prepares core submission materials. Provides strategic SSU planning, budget oversight, progress reporting, and effective risk management, while driving process improvements and ensuring quality standards. Requires up to 25% travel; bachelor’s degree with related advanced qualifications preferred. This role supports multiple countries/regions and involves vendor management, budget profitability oversight, and frequent client communication to achieve project success.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Higher Degree Preferred
- Minimum 6 years CRO industry experience and/or 5 years SSU/clinical trial environment
- Excellent understanding of clinical trial process across Phases II-IV and ICH GCP
- Project management experience in a fast-paced environment
- Vendor management
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Quality-driven in all managed activities
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage budgets
