Job Summary
The Sr. Service Technician is tasked with commissioning and performing preventative and corrective maintenance on SolBank Storage Power Block systems. This role involves managing obligations under Long Term Service Agreements (LTSA's) for Battery Energy Storage System projects and includes supervising subcontractors, developing operating procedures, and providing onsite diagnostics and troubleshooting. A strong background in service environments, particularly with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) or renewable energy equipment, is essential. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills, proficiency in MS Office, and a commitment to safety and sustainability. This position requires significant travel across project sites.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified Electrical Technician
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in a service environment, preferably in renewable energy
- OSHA 30 Certified (OSHA 10 certification accepted if OSHA 30 is obtained soon after hire)
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Applications (Word, Excel)
- Previous experience with a CMMS software program is preferred
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- First Aid Trained
- Ability to travel to regional locations as needed (over 50% of the time)
- Demonstrated professional appearance and conduct
- Great communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities
