Job Summary
Sr. Service Technician at e-STORAGE, a Canadian Solar subsidiary, responsible for commissioning and performing preventative and corrective maintenance on SolBank Storage Power Block (SPB) for BESS projects; travel to project sites across Ontario; ensure warranty adherence; oversee subcontractors; develop SOPs; perform LOTO and switching procedures; analyze performance data to identify root causes; requires Electrical Engineering background and 5+ years in a service environment with knowledge of medium voltage power systems and energy storage applications; strong communication, multitasking, and ownership mindset; CMMS experience preferred; travel >50%.
Desired Qualifications
- Electrical Engineering degree or related discipline
- 5+ years in a service environment (renewable energy preferred)
- Experience with BESS or renewable power generation equipment
- Knowledge of general and national codes, medium voltage power systems and PV or energy storage system applications
- Proficient in written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage multiple projects with ownership mindset
- Experience with CMMS software (preferred)
- Willingness to travel to regional locations (over 50%)
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and switching procedures experience
- Team oversight or ability to supervise subcontractors on site
- Ability to develop SOPs and processes
- Safety-focused with ethics and sustainability orientation
