Job Summary
Sr Security Engineer focusing on Identity Architecture & SaaS security. Develops and operationalizes scalable identity and SaaS security capabilities enterprise-wide, including RBAC/ABAC pipelines, device posture checks, and risk-adaptive policies. Harden privileged access by right-sizing entitlements and eliminating long-lived elevated access across platforms (e.g., Entra ID, PAM). Builds dashboards and runbooks, defines baselines for major SaaS apps (M365, Slack, GitHub, Workday, Google), and standardizes log schemas for authentication/authorization/entitlement changes. Drives architecture standards and collaborates with IT and security teams to reduce identity-centric risk over multi-year horizons. Includes participation in tool PoCs/deployments and measurement of risk reduction over time. Expected pay ranges reflect US geography; the role requires strong communication and collaboration skills and a pragmatic, outcome-driven approach to security posture management.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with enterprise identity controls and solutions, including delivering outcomes that use Entra ID/AD, Okta, and SailPoint (or equivalents)
- Strong understanding of core Zero Trust principles, the least privilege and continuous verification models
- Ability to secure large SaaS tenants (M365, Slack, GitHub, Workday, Google) and security Authn/Authz for all identities
- Influence and collaborate with IT and security partners to deliver measurable security outcomes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex problems to business leaders and technical staff
- Active participation and problem-solving mindset with a focus on creative security solutions
- Preferred: scripting/automation (Python, PowerShell) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) for policy/pipeline automation
- Exposure to service identity frameworks (SPIFFE/SPIRE) and workload identity patterns
