Conduct cryo-EM workflows including grid preparation, data collection, image processing, 3D reconstruction, and model building. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate structural insights into medicinal chemistry and biologics design efforts, including hit validation and hit-to-lead optimization. Contribute to the operation, optimization, and maintenance of cryo-EM instrumentation and workflows. Present results clearly to internal project teams and contribute to scientific publications and reports. Independently manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Structural Biology or related field
- postdoctoral training in solving atomic resolution structures of macromolecular complexes
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in structural biology
- preferably including biopharmaceutical industry experience
Desired Qualifications
- Extensive experience in single-particle cryo-EM, including grid preparation, optimization, data acquisition, processing, 3D reconstruction, and model building
- Hands-on experience in recombinant protein construct design, expression, purification, and characterization
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills in a matrixed team environment
